IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR UHA PATIENTS
We understand that you may have received a notice from University Health Alliance (UHA) that it has changed our status from a “Participating Provider” to a “Non-Participating Provider”. Please be advised that the change was made by UHA unilaterally and came as a surprise to me.
As you are aware, my companies and I have been on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19. You, as my patient, have not been billed for any COVID-19 testing that we have billed UHA for. However, there is a year-long ongoing dispute with UHA for payment of outbreak testing claims. UHA has contended that any outbreak testing should be paid for by an employer and/or other sources. UHA’s position has left us with no alternative but to proceed with litigation and we have filed suit over the matter.
